JIMMY DONALDSON, poznatiji kao MrBeast, u 2021. godini zaradio je 54 milijuna dolara i tako postao youtuber s najvećom zaradom u povijesti, piše Forbes.

23-godišnjak na YouTubeu ima 88.3 milijuna pretplatnika i trenutno je njegov kanal osmi s najviše pretplatnika na cijelom YouTubeu. Donaldsonovi videozapisi broje više od 10 milijardi pregleda. U 2021. godini je između ostalog objavio i video u kojem je rekreirao Squid Game u stvarnom životu. Taj je video pregledalo više od 200 milijuna ljudi, a neko vrijeme bio je prvi u trendingu u Hrvatskoj.


Inače, MrBeast je pionir žanra YouTube videa koja se usredotočuju na skupe vratolomije. Na YouTubeu je počeo objavljivati početkom 2012. godine. Postao je internetska senzacija nakon što je 2017. godine njegov video pod nazivom Counting to 100.000 pregledan desetak tisuća puta u samo nekoliko dana. S vremenom je počeo objavljivati videe s izazovima, teškim zadacima ili preživljavanjem.



Jimmy je na Forbesovoj ljestvici najplaćenijih youtubera prestigao 10-godišnjeg recenzenta igračaka Ryana Kajija, koji je posljednje dvije godine bio na vrhu. Nakon Jimmyja, sljedeći najplaćeniji youtuber u 2021. je Jake Paul, treće mjesto zauzeo je Markiplier, a potom slijede američki komičarski dvojac Rhett i Link te Nathan Johnson Graham.

Gledao sam neke klipove... lik je lud, ali svaka čast i onima koji snimaju i edituju klipove koji sigurno zarađuju milione zajedno s njim.

Mislim da nije imao klipa, a da ti ne privuče pažnju tokom cijelog trajanja istog i da možeš slobodno preskakati. Tu treba biti maher, a on i njegova ekipa su to doktorirali.
