Weissmandl, whose appeals to the Allies to bomb both Auschwitz and the railways leading Slovak Jews to Auschwitz went unanswered, did not mince his words when he addressed them in very harsh terms, as well as the Zionist organization in Palestine, which systematically refrained from assisting Jews in Europe: “And you—our brothers in Palestine, in all free countries, and you ministers of all these countries—how can you remain silent in the face of this great murder? Silent while thousands upon thousands, now six million Jews, were being murdered. Silent while tens of thousands are still being murdered or are about to be murdered? Their hearts are broken and they implore you for help while lamenting your cruelty. You are brutal and murderers because of the cold-blooded silence with which you observe”.
If the brave Weissmandl goes so far as to call the Zionists and the Anglo-American rulers, who refuse to help the victims of the Holocaust, murderers, then how would he describe the current rulers of countries such as the United States, Germany, France, and so many others who are not content to remain indifferent to Palestinian suffering, but go so far as to arm, finance, and diplomatically support the genocide of the State of Israel against the Palestinians in Gaza?

This mishnah discusses the legal consequences of sex with minors, of different ages and marital states, but does not sanction either marriage or sex with a very young girl. It says that until the age of three there is no legal outcome at all because the hymen returns and thus cancels the significance of the sex act. Putting a finger in the eye hurts and triggers tearing but does not usually cause permanent damage. After three, if a man has sex with a girl, not only does he cause her to lose her virginity permanently, but also—and precisely because of this—the sex act has a variety of legal consequences for both of them: for him, if she were forbidden to him, he will be punished in the same way as if she were a mature woman; for her, if the sexual relations were for the sake of marriage, they will make her a married woman. Just as forbidden sexual relations are not being encouraged by this mishnah, so, too, marriage to a minor is not being encouraged. In all instances, the consequences of such acts are the issue.
We learned in a baraita: It once happened that Justinia, the daughter of Aseverus b. Antoninus, came before Rebbe [R. Judah the Prince] and said to him: Rabbi, at what age may a woman marry? He answered: at three years and one day. And at what age can she get pregnant? He said to her, twelve years and a day. She said to him: I married at six and gave birth at seven. I regret the three years that I lost while still in my father’s home(!)….
