U 76 godini je preminuo američki atletičar Dick Fosbury.
Fosbury je skakač u vis koji je na olimpijskm igrama 1968 godine osvijio zlatnu medalju koristeći metodu skakanja u vis, pri kojoj se pri skoku leđa okreću prema motci. Taj vid skakanja je dobio ime po njemu, "Fosberijev flop" i postao je standardni skok pri skakanju u vis.
